What does pride mean? A sense of belonging – feeling accepted for who you are, Being free – not being held back by society, Happiness – not hiding who you are.

Don’t worry, you’re worthy! Don’t be afraid of your feelings – don’t try to hide your feelings, they are valid, they are what makes you you, Just hold on – the feeling that you don’t belong, it’ll pass, It will get better – you just have to believe it will.

How pride started It started in 1969, police raided a known gay bar, Inspired – people started protesting, more people came out as gay and apart of the LGBTQ+, Express joy – soon after pride flag was created, “we needed some way to express our joy, our beauty, our power, the rainbow did that”.

Pride makes so many people happy, the pride flag alone represents so much, our joy, our beauty, our power. Pride makes people proud of themselves for just being themself. And pride makes so many people feel inspired, inspired to rise up against so many horrible rules.

What does the LGBTQ stand for? L = lesbian, G = gay, B = bisexual, T = transgender, Q = queer (sometimes Q = questioning your gender).
